Kováčová Spa treats diseases of the locomotory system, nervous diseases, digestive diseases, metabolism disorders and glands with internal secretion, kidney and urinary tract diseases, and female diseases. All treatment procedures are provided by specialized healthcare professionals. The spring with a capacity of 50 l / s is one of the most successful in Slovakia and supplies all local spa and recreational facilities.

The long-term ambulatory character of the treatment in Kováčová - spa has changed in the year 1993, when the Detvan Spa House was build. The building has undergone a total reconstruction and is located on the site of the former central part of the spa, whose history dates back to the first half of the 20th century. Detvan has capacity of 40 beds in single and double rooms with separate bathroom with bath or shower. Guest rooms are equipped with a TV, radio and telephone.

The building is three-storey, with no elevator, with its own catering and reception, reception and a common room. The catering operation ensures diet in the form of diet system in terms of curative nutrition for constitutional and outpatient patients, as well as other spa guests. Free parking is available nearby. Near the healing house (approx. 250 m) there is also the Holiday Park Kováčová and the guests in the Spa House can visit it once a day free of charge. Treatments are provided in two other buildings, about 50 meters away. The location of the Detvan Spa House outside of the city's vibe and the atmosphere of the spa park guarantee optimal conditions for treatment and contribute substantially to physical and mental relaxation. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, bicycle trips, horseback riding or fishing. There are also a number of concerts and exhibitions.
