Vital World has been designed to be the ultimate in holistic steam, sauna, rest and relaxation experiences. As well as a conventional Sauna, and a Steam Room, VitalWorld also offers an entire range of additional ’Inhalation Rooms’, a Jacuzzi, a ’Sun Meadow’, an ’Ice Cave’ and Relaxation Areas, all designed to cleanse and purify, rest and relax, or to reinvigorate you ready for your return to the real world.
The Traditional Finnish Sauna
Our Scandinavian style Sauna is a conventional pine panelled room heated with stones, which in turn are heated by a traditional wood burning stove, to produce a temperature of 100°C. As you relax in the heat, and feel the stresses and strains of tired muscles melt away, you might want to contemplate a traditional dip in the icy plunge pool, or for a more relaxing way to cool off, take a trip to our Ice Cave??
Ice Cave: Forever Winter
In VitalWorld’s Ice Cave it is always winter, with real snow forming in the air around you whatever the season outside. Ideal for cooling off after a session in the Sauna or the Steam rooms, or just for ‘chilling out’ and enjoying the Ice Age experience. The Ice Cave is a truly magical place, but unlike the kingdom of Narnia it may be forever winter but Christmas still comes once a year.
Steam, Vapour And Inhalation Rooms
If the dry heat of the Sauna is not for you, you may want to try the Turkish style Steam Bath? Designed to purify and cleanse you, you can enhance your steam experience by enjoying one, or more of our inhalation therapy rooms. Soothing music and gently changing ‘mood’ lighting mean that you’ll relax body, mind and spirit as you absorb the menthol, flower, or salt steam vapours.
The Trepidarium and Caldarium
Taking our inspiration from the ancient Roman bath houses Vital World contains both a warm Trepidarium area and a cooler Caldarium.
The Trepidarium
For those who dislike or cannot take the intense heat of the Sauna or the Steam Rooms, the Trepidarium enables you to relax on specially designed and contoured couches. The couches are gently, internally heated by circulating our geothermal waters through them. Here the body is gently, and very gradually, warmed through; producing feelings of total relaxation and promoting a great sense of wellbeing.
The Caldarium
The Caldarium is a cooler area where those who don’t want to face the shock of the plunge pool or brave the Ice Cave can gently return to normal temperatures after the rigors of the Sauna or Steam Rooms.
Jacuzzi
Again, like the ancient Romans, we believe that ‘Taking The Waters’ can be a social event. At the heart of VitalWorld is our whirlpool Jacuzzi. An ideal place to relax with friends while you let the warm mineral rich waters massage and soothe away your stresses and strains.
Summer Meadow
While our Ice Cave is producing an eternal winter, our Summer Meadow is flooding this room with perpetual summer sunlight. Our specially designed and totally safe UV lighting system will help give you a healthy, glowing tan and may even help you to shed some of those seasonal blues that can affect any of us during the short winter days and long winter nights.
