The spa itself offers outdoor sporting opportunities during the summer in the spa´s sports area, or swim in the themal swimming-pool., or hike through local trails or in the spa´s park, which turns into a forest- park at its limits.
Evička and Klinger natural lakes, near Banská Štiavnica, offer more summmer recreational opportunities, and are near several winter ski- lifts. Sitno and Počúvadlianske lake are also close by.
Banská Štiavnica, a Slovak natural reservation, is 14 kilometers south of Sklené Teplice. Several technical mining locations in its surrounding include a UNESCO world curtural heritage site. Visiting the town is a special experience. The Miners Museum offers the chance to descend into an unground shaft and testifies to the advanced scientific and technical development of the area´s mines since the 13th century. A baroque style manor house in Svatý Anton village which belonged to the Koháry family is just outside Banská Štiavnica. Today the house is a museum of forestry, wood working, and hunting that features an exhibition of 18th and 19th century gentry living standards.
Kremnica is attractive fo its historical center, castle and Coin and Medal Museum. Kremnica´s mint, built before 1434, still functions today. The Coins and Medal Museum provides an overview of almost seven centuries of coin- making in Kremnica.
