Bešeňová - Mineral springs
Bešeňová is one of the important locations which is famous for its rare mineral springs. There are 14 springs with the unique rich minerals in the area around Bešeňová. The mineral content and the temperature vary slightly in every individual spring.
Mineral water contains calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, manganese, and a big amount of sulphates, bicarbonates, free carbon dioxide, and other minerals. Each mineral spring is characterised by reddish and brown colour .
A 60,5 degrees centigrade hot mineral water sprang out unexpectedly from the ground at the beginning of 1980s. The source of this spring known under special name ZGL – 1 and spring HB – 2 with water temperature 16,8° C, created the basis of natural swimming pool. In 1987 a bore-hole 1987 metres deep was sunk to create the core of the present swimming pool in Bešeňová. Mineral water in the pool is brown and red colour.
