Bešeňová - Thermal pool
The thermal swimming pool in Bešeňová
is situated in the Liptov valley wedged in between the Choč Hills, the
Low and the High Tatras.
The healing effects of the thermal mineral springs have been
known since the 14th century. A very long time ago the inhabitants of
Liptov believed that the water was the miracle which created life and
they valued it very much. At the peasant’s settlements they dug small
wells to provide drinking water. Every household boasted of good
quality bread and water with healing and magic power.
The hot healing water springs, (62° C) and 1987 m deep, come from the bore–hole sunk in 1987 and create the basis of the present swimming pool.
The water in the swimming pool is cooled down to have a relaxing and healing impact on locomotive apparatus, urologic and respiratory problems as well as benefiting the complexion .The overall positive effect is noticed only after several subsequent visits to the swimming pool. The bathing resort is in operation all year round. The water temperature varies according the weather: The thermal pool is 34° C, the swimming pool, 24° C and the two children pools (one deep and one more shallow, 25° C. There are also three hotel pools: a resting pool (33° C), a swimming pool (24° C), and a sitting pool (33° C). The resort also has tobogganing and beach volleyball facilities, provides relaxation massages, and has catering possibilities. You can enter the whirlpools directly from the hotel and sit comfortably in the “wet” bar.
*Since summer of 2006, Thermal Park has expanded its services to almost triple the original amount. New Wellness Spa is now fully operational and we have also expanded our lodging and dining capacity. Our covered stainless steel swimming pools and whirlpools under the sky are sure to attract anyone.
