BRNO - Regiontour 2005

In 13th - 16th January 2005 there was held 14th international fair of tourist possibilities of regions. It was called "Regiontour Brno". Bardejov and its surroundings represented itself there in collaboration with The Association of tourist trade of Upper Saris region.

Tourist regions from Slovakia and Czech Republic introduced themselves at the exhibition. Our exposition was situated in stand of SACR (Slovak Agency for Tourist Trade) also with towns and regions of Levoča, Piešťany and Rajecké Teplice. At this unit of exhibition there were 37 000 visitors and 1 162 exhibitors from 26 countries. Assistant managers from Tourist Information Centre - HERKULES were offering advertising sources about Bardejov and its surroundings to internal and foreign visitors. These advertising sources were in 4 languages. The biggest concern was over Bardejov´s historical square, the basilica of St. Egidius, Bardejov spa, wooden churches, skiing centres, possibilities of accommodation, trips in surroundings of Bardejov...

From the favour of visitors it was evident, that Slovakia belongs to the most sough after by Czech tourists. Actually subjects, mainly the calamity in High Tatras, were explained to Czech reporters and travel agencies at press conference. Our representative of Saris region was at the press conference and he presented possibilities of tourism by video presentation about Bardejov. Bardejov showed its qualities to another possible visitors, who would give an indication about Bardejov and we hope they will visit out town and its surroundings.
