BRNO - Regiontour 2006

In 12th - 15th January 2006 the Brno´s trade fair of tourist trade celebrated its 15th unit. It become the biggest happening of its kind in Central Europe. The number of exhibiting firms has increased compared to last year. At this-year trade fair GO and REGIONTOUR Brno there were exhibiting 1 224 firms from 28 countries from all over the world. There was presented regions and interesting touristic places. Foreign touristic and travel agencies didn´t miss at the exhibition. Thre was an auxiliary program which included tens of professional seminars, discussions and presentations, interesting exhibitions and competitions.

Exposition of Bardejov was in stand of SACR (Slovak Agency for Tourist Trade). Our stand had an area of 150 square metres. Besides Bardejov other towns and regions represented themselves for example Trenčín, Piešťany, Stará Ľubovňa, Rajecké Teplice, Červený Kláštor, Terchová, Zuberec.

Mr. Michal Fila played on Slovak musical instrument called "fujara" and Slovak innkeepers slaked thirst of visitors of our stand by delicious Slovak beer. Our beautiful Slovak girls presented Slovak folk costumes. The representative of Tourist Information Centre - HERKULES offered advertising sources about Bardejov and its surroundings to internal and foreign visitors. Visitors took the biggest concern in historical square in Bardejov, basilica of St. Egidius, Bardejov spa, wooden churches, skiing centres, possibilities of accommodation, trips and hiking. From the favour of visitors it was evident, that Slovakia belongs to the most sough after by Czech tourists. Bardejov showed its qualities to another possible visitors, who would give an indication about Bardejov and we hope they will visit our town and its surroundings in the near future.
