Lucky Spa - Indications

Methods of therapy

Swimming pool- is used for relaxation therapy for 15-20 min., and for hydrokinetic therapy (group exercises and swimming). For relaxation therapy, the effects of CO2 are used, which is absorbed by the skin. This provides for the hyperaemia of the skin, which increases the opportunity to absorb minerals from the water.

Hydrokinetic therapy uses the mechanical effects of water in two forms: hydrostatic pressure and buoyancy. Hydrostatic pressure increases intra-abdominal pressure, which helps respiratory exspiration. The inflow of venous blood to the chest is increased, which increases the volume per minute of the heart by 5-20%. This in turn causes the increase in diuresis leading to the discharge of chlorides. The buoyancy properties of water bath release the musculo-skeletal system. The actual exercises which comprise the hydrokinetic therapy for the correction of non-physiologic positions of internal organs by suitable involvement of groups of muscles.

Bath - supplements the balneotherapy in an appropriate way. This includes the following:
  • mineral bath
  • whirlpool bath
  • sit-bath

Procedures are supplied within a temperature of 36-40°C for 15-20 minutes in full, half, and three-quarter tubes. Temperatures are maintained by artificial heating. Hyperthermic baths are used with a lower content of CO2. The sedative effects of procedure dominate, which is used mainly for the therapy of climacteric molimens, post-operative conditions with a positive histology, and types of neurosis.

Bath with voltaic current - is used to increase the efficiency of minerals in the currative tube. The bath has a distincly sedative effect, is used mainly for the treatment of sterility and climacteric molimens, and takes the form of a galvanized tube and four-chambered bath for the limbs. It is also suitably used by clients with diseases of musculo-skeletal system and for clients with neurosis.

Peloids - are an important component of gynaecological balneotherapy. They affect the body in a mechanical, thermal and chemical way. Due to their high specific weight, they support venous and lymphatic circulation. When applied, the body is heated more slowly, more providentially, but the effects last longer and are more penetrating. In Lúčky we use standard moor mud, with pure contents of organic materials of 85-95%, which is combined with mineral water to form a thick soup. Thue enriched by minerals, it is applied as a panties pack to the area of the minor pelvis. The temperature of the mud is between 42-48oC. Primary indications include developmental defects of the internal genitals, adhesive processes in the minor pelvis, chronic adnexitis, tuba occlusions, dysmenorrhoea and hormonal dysfunction.

Massages:
1. manual massage
2. acupressure
3. submerged massage
4. vibratory whirling
5. scottish jets

These procedures are applied both without the use of water (1., 2.) and in a water environment (3.-5.). Manual massage and acupressure influence the static and circulatory systems. Massage increases the inflow of nutritiants to the fibres, increases the discharge of catabolites, and the massaged parts of the body are subject to hyperaemia. Acupressure uses the proven procedures of oriental medicine. It is used mainly for painful conditions and sterility. In the submerged massage, whirling and desk, the client is in contact with water throughout the massage. The temperature of water is 35-37oC, and by means of jets, the water is directed to individual parts of the body. This has spasmolytic, anaemising and later hyperaemic effects and positive effects on on the metabolism and activities of nerves.

Electrotherapy - forms a part of physiotherapy, using the curative effects of various forms of electricity, i.e., DC, variously formed impulses, low or medium frequency AC, high-frequency field and high-frequency current. We use following options of electrotherapy: - diathermy - diathron - diadynamic currents - ultrasound - inhalatioin - solux - sun lamp In the use of most of this electrotherapy, the current has its effects through the transition of current through texture with its thermal effects. This allows for the distribution of heat to both surface and deep structures according to the selected electrotherapy. Intrador - gas injection of carbon dioxide. It is used as a supplementary procedure mainly due to its analgaetic effects in the therapy of vertebrogenic diseases and pain conditions.

Myostimulator - for vaginal application, used to reinforce the base of the pelvis, mainly for women following gynaecological operations with subsequent incontinence of urine.

Physiotherapy - is an inseparable part of the complex spa treatment of gynaecological diseases. the exercise improves reflex connections, which is benefical for the psychhical component of the gynaecological client. The best effects for gyneacological diseases is physiotherapy in the spa environment, where it is combined with balneotherapy, climatotherapy, diet, drug treatment - in conjunction with the physical and spiritual relaxation of the treated client.
We offer following opportunities for physiotherapy (PT):
  • physiotherapy
  • physiotherapy forte
  • yoga
  • sterility exercises
  • individual exercises

When allocating clients for PT, we consider mainly the health conditions, age, diagnosis and overall condition. Use of PT is wide, primarily for conditions following gynaecological operations, inflammatory diseases, sterility etc. For this we use yoga techniques oriented to proper breathing, increase of move, flexibility, strengthening of the spine and the whole of the body. PT is oriented towards the treatment of functional sterility, based on the reflex influence of the neurotic and muscle apparatus of the lower pelvis. Diagnnostic examinations

The examination and therapy workplaces of professional physicians - gynaecologists and professionally trained health care stuff - are equipped with modern diagnostics and therapeutical devices and equipment. For emergency diagnostics, which can influence the early and efficient use of balneotherapy, the following lab work-ups can be done by our laboratories: haematological, cytological, biochemical, X-ray immune analysis, ultrasonography of abdomen and vagina. Average number of procedures per day is 2,5 - 2,7.
