Liptovský Ján - Springs and treatment

Svätý Ján spa activities near a manor house were analyzed and registered between 1945 and 1950, when the spa springs was judged a ground-plaster, sulfide-carbone, lukewarm water source. The water was used in the swimming pool, the spa house baths, and the outdoor pool. The spring water treated:
  • digestive problems
  • rheumatism
  • women´s illnesses
  • nervous disorders
  • paralysis
  • thromboflebitis

The water in Liptovsky Jan Spa was also used to treat:
  • circulatory and digestive illnesses
  • catarrh of the urinal tract
  • phosphate and carbonic illnesses
  • allergies

Another two springs in Liptovsky Jan Spa were indicated for the following illnesses. The Teplica spring, said to have produced ground-plaster, sulfide, carbone water, and the church yard spring were labeled ground-plaster springs. Recent research found that other spring sources were also available. From these, only Rudolf spring and B-1 have been put to use. The latter supplies a new thermal-water area.
