Nimnice is the youngest Slovak spa, situated above the Nosice water reservoir, between Púchovo and Považská Bystrica. The spa site consists of the treatment houses located in the spa park. The cure houses are located on the outskirts of the Javornik mountain range, reaching the water reservoir of the Youth Reservoir. In the Balneotherapy building is a concentrated diet, medical services and a congress hall. Mineral water in Nimnice contains sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium, chlorine, iodine and free carbon dioxide, and it has medicinal effects. It is used for drinking and inhalation treatment , as well as bath tubs that provide relief from pain and improve the health of patients.
Spa Hotel Balnea Grand meets the demands of the most demanding guests. Its main advantage is concentration of all spa services under one roof. The wing of the building is a newly-developed medical wellness center, swimming pool, massages, oxygen therapy, hydrotherapy procedures and a fitness center. Guests can make use of the on-site dining room with dietary supervision or the Impressia restaurant right in the building.
Accommodation consists of apartments (day and night room + balcony), LUX rooms (more spacious rooms with balcony) and Klasik double rooms . In the spa house there is a lift.

The youngest Slovak spa Nimnica is situated between the towns of Považská Bystrica and Púchov in the north-west of Slovakia. During the construction of the water reservoir in 1952, a profuse spring was discovered in Nimnica, which was an impetus for the origin and development of the local spa. After hydrogeological examination and verification of the therapeutic effects of the water, the exploitation of the local salty water started. The diseases treated in Nimnica include the digestive system, circulatory system and respiratory system diseases and diseases of the locomotive organs. The mineral water contains trace elements like potassium, magnesium, chlorine, iodine, sodium, calcium iron, and free carbon dioxide and is also used for therapy of oncological and gynecological diseases. The therapy leans on drinking of this water, inhalations and carbon dioxide baths.
